Bodega Nanni's organic grapes continue to draw in tourists

Bodega Nanni is a winery located in the norther Argentinian town of Cafyate. It is a family run place that has been producing wine since 1897. It was the first winery to produce the Tannat grape. It also produces wine from the Torrontes grape, the specialty of the region.
Every day the winery offers tourists wine tasting sessions and tours to tourists interested in the wine. Today there are mostly Argentinians and two wine lovers from France.

“The wines produced here attract many tourists from across Argentina and other countries that appreciate good wine because all the wine here is organically grown, something which is very important in the industry now,” said Fernanda, the hostess at the wine tasting session.

The north and western part of Argentina is famous for its wine, particularly its Malbec and Torrontes. Driving along the roads between Salta and Cafayate you’ll see dozens of local vineyards where grapes are still hand picked and foot pressed. It is a very localised industry. Bodega Nanni’s products are used mostly sold in Argentina. It’s two other export markets are Brazil and Canada.
